Strong partnerships with national governments are the kernel for the success of the SUSTAIN-CA programme in the Central Asian region. During the November visit of Programme Manager Mr. Torsten Brezina to Ashgabat two Protocols were signed covering the extension of cooperation with SUSTAIN-CA national partner in Turkmenistan – the State Committee for Environmental Protection and Land Resources, and its regional partner – The Scientific and Information Centre of the Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development (SIC ICSD).
Both documents provide a legal framework for further cooperation with both organizations until the end of project cycle on November 30, 2020.
