Regional workshop on potential for development of pistachio and almonds taking into account integrative land use management approaches in Central Asia was organized on 22-25 August 2022 in Uzbekistan. Representatives of the forest industry from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan participated to the event. The foresters exchanged experience in the development of pistachio growing, visited a plantation of varietal almonds and pistachios in Gal Aral and a micro -cloning laboratory in the Samarkand region.
